To provide a slab and a slab construction method which can reduce construction time and can exhibit fire resistant performance.SOLUTION: A slab 1 including concrete 5 and a deck plate 2, comprises: the deck plate 2 having a flat plate part 3 formed in a flat shape and a rise part 4 rising upward from the flat plate part 3; the concrete 5 placed above the deck plate 2; and a fire resistant covering material 6 installed between an upper surface of the flat plate part 3 and the concrete 5, wherein the rise part 4 is brought into contact with the concrete 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
