To provide a technology capable of improving convenience when operating a plurality of shielding materials.SOLUTION: An operation device 20 for a shielding material performs an opening/closing operation of a first shielding material and a second shielding material. The operation device includes an object switching switch 241 and a mode switching switch 242 for, in order to set any one of a plurality of control modes for performing the opening/closing control of the shielding materials according to different predetermined conditions respectively to the first shielding material, out of a mode candidate group including the plurality of control modes, allowing a user to select the control mode of the first shielding material, and for, in order to set any one of the plurality of control modes to the second shielding material, out of the mode candidate group, allowing the user to select the control mode of the second shielding material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
