To provide alumina ceramics having surface resistivity in a desired range while satisfying high purity and high densification, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The alumina ceramics of the present invention includes Al2O3 as a main crystal and Na and Si as a sintering assistant, wherein in at least a range from a surface layer to a depth of 500 μm, an Na content is 1,000 ppm or less, an Si content is 10 ppm or more and 2,000 ppm or less, and an Na/Si value is 0.1 or more and 2 or less. Furthermore, the alumina ceramics of the present invention have: a purity of Al2O3 of 99% or more; and a surface resistivity of 5×1012 Ω/sq. or more and 5×1014 Ω/sq. or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】高純度及び高緻密性を満たしつつ、所望の範囲の表面抵抗率を有するアルミナセラミックス、及びその製造方法、を提供する。【解決手段】本発明にかかるアルミナセラミックスは、Ａｌ2Ｏ3を主結晶とし、焼結助剤としてＮａとＳｉを使用することとし、少なくとも表層から深さ５００μｍの範囲において、Ｎａの含有量が１０００ｐｐｍ以下、Ｓｉの含有量が１０ｐｐｍ以上２０００ｐｐｍ以下、かつＮａ／Ｓｉの値が０．１以上２以下である。さらに、本発明にかかるアルミナセラミックスは、Ａｌ2Ｏ3の純度が９９％以上を有するとともに、表面抵抗率が５×１０12Ω／□以上５×１０14Ω／□以下である。【選択図】図１
