To provide a docking-type heavy machine capable of improving usability and reducing energy costs.SOLUTION: A docking-type heavy machine comprises: a heavy machine unit having a function for civil engineering work; a transportation machine connectable to the heavy machine unit and having a transportation function; and a connection mechanism connecting/separating the heavy machine unit and/from the transportation machine. When the heavy machine unit and the transportation machine are connected by the connection mechanism, the transportation machine loads a material to be processed from the heavy machine unit or delivers a material to the heavy machine unit. When the heavy machine unit and the transportation machine are separated by the connection mechanism, the transportation machine transports at least one of the material to be processed and the material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
