METHOD FOR ESTIMATING BLAINE SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA OF SOLID MATERIAL POWDER
To provide a method for estimating Blaine specific surface area of solid material powder included in a powdery cement composition.SOLUTION: A method for estimating Blaine specific surface area of solid material powder includes the processes of: preparing specimens differing in Blaine specific surface area; determining a first relational expression based upon measurements of x% cumulative particle sizes and Blaine specific surface area of the respective specimens; fractionating a powdery cement composition and calculating y% cumulative particle sizes by fractions and the ratio of the powdery cement composition to the total amount of the powdery cement composition; measuring ratios of solid material powder by the fractions; calculating the ratio of solid material powder in each fraction to the total amount of the solid material power and a cumulative ratio; defining a second relational expression based upon the y% cumulative particle sizes and the cumulative ratio; defining a value of y% cumulative particle size when the cumulative ratio of the solid material powder is z% from the second relational expression; and applying the value of y% cumulative particle size to determine Blaine specific surface area of the solid material powder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
