To provide a backup material and a glass door, the backup material being capable of maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the glass door sash and improving the efficiency of work to attach the glass door to a sash frame.SOLUTION: A backup material 5 is mounted in a groove 1a of a sash frame 1 of a glass door 100. The backup material 5 includes a base material 7 which is elongated in one direction and has a rectangular cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and a sheet 8 which is provided on one surface along the longitudinal direction of the base material 7 and has a color tone different from that of the base material 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
