To provide a vertical drain trap which is easy to maintain and compact.SOLUTION: A vertical drain trap X is arranged along the vertical direction and comprises: a body case 1 having an inflow pipe part 11 into which liquid flows in, a discharge pipe part 12 into which liquid is discharged, and a valve housing 13 provided between the inflow pipe part 11 and the discharge pipe part 12; and a valve unit 2 housed inside the valve housing 13 and having a valve body 21 that can abut against a valve seat 11b1 formed in the inflow pipe part 11 from below, a magnet mechanism 23 for moving the valve body 21 upward, and a guide member 22 that guides the downward movement of the valve body 21 under the weight of the liquid and the upward movement of the valve body 21 by the magnet mechanism 23. The valve housing 13 is formed with an opening 13A through which at least the valve body 21 and the magnet mechanism 23 of the valve unit 2 can be taken out from a direction intersecting the vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
