WATER-BASED COATING COMPOSITION AND BUILDING MATERIAL
To provide a water-based coating composition which is excellent in coating stability, such as circulation stability, and capable of forming a coating film with good ink fixability.SOLUTION: There is provided a water-based coating composition comprising a coating film forming resin (A) and fine particles (B). The coating film-forming resin (A) contains an acrylic resin emulsion (A1), and the acrylic resin emulsion (A1) has a core part having a glass transition temperature of less than 15°C and a shell part having a glass transition temperature of 25°C or higher. The fine particles (B) comprise fine particles (B1), fine particles (B2), and fine particles (B3). (B1) contains calcium carbonate and has an average particle diameter of 1 μm or more and 5 μm or less, an oil absorption of 60 mL/100 g or more, and a bulk specific gravity of 0.20 g/cm3 or more. (B2) has an average particle diameter of less than 1 μm and a bulk specific gravity of 0.20 g/cm3 or more. (B3) contains silica and has an oil absorption of 60 mL/100 g or more, and a bulk specific gravity of 0.15 g/cm3 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
