SILICON NITRIDE SINTERED BODY, MACHINE COMPONENT USING THE SAME, AND BEARING
To provide a silicon nitride sintered body having excellent mechanical characteristics and exhibiting an excellent product life when fabricated into a product, a machine component using the same, and a bearing.SOLUTION: The silicon nitride sintered body is of crystallinity of not lower than 75% and not higher than 90% obtained from a XRD diffraction pattern of a mirror polished cross section thereof using the following equation, with its amorphous phase including at least one species selected from the group consisting of Y, Ce, Nd and Eu, and neither an inclusion of a diameter of larger than 50 μm nor a pore of a diameter of larger than 50 μm being present in its surface layer. 【課題】機械的特性が良好であり、製品に加工した場合に良好な製品寿命を有する窒化ケイ素焼結体、それを用いた機械部品、および軸受を提供する。【解決手段】窒化ケイ素焼結体は、鏡面研磨した切断面のXRD回析パターンから以下の式により求めた結晶化度が75%以上、90%以下であり、非結晶質相にY、Ce、Nd、およびEuからなる群より選ばれる1種以上を含み、表層部に、径が50μm超の介在物が存在せず、径が50μm超の空孔が存在しない。結晶化度(%)=結晶質のピーク面積/(結晶質のピーク面積+非結晶質のピーク面積)×100【選択図】図1
