To provide a reinforced concrete structure and a method for reinforcing reinforced concrete structures that suppress damages when a load is applied to an upper structure.SOLUTION: A reinforced concrete structure according to the present invention includes a support structure that supports an upper structure from below, and slabs formed to overhang laterally from the support structure. The slab includes a reinforcing bar member having multiple main reinforcing bars arranged parallel to each other and multiple fixed transverse bars that connect the side surfaces of the multiple adjacent main reinforcing bars, and a filling member filled around the reinforcing bar member. The main reinforcing bars extend in a direction intersecting the edge of the slab, and the fixed transverse bars are arranged along the edge of the slab.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
