To provide a sliding door unit excellent in aesthetic property while having a sliding door.SOLUTION: A sliding door unit includes: a pair of vertical ribs provided on a pair of adjacent mullions of a plurality of erected mullions in a spaced-apart manner and projecting to the outdoor side from the pair of mullions; a vertical batten provided on one mullion of the pair of mullions and the outdoor side of the other adjacent mullion on the opposite side of the other mullion; horizontal members provided to extend in the horizontal direction more than a space between the pair of vertical ribs and positioned above and below the pair of vertical ribs; and a sash supported by the horizontal members to move in the horizontal direction. The horizontal member has a face member housing section in which the upper and lower ends of the face member are housed, and a guide section which is positioned on the outdoor side of the face member housing section and guides the sash. The face member includes ends housed in one vertical rib, the vertical batten, and the upper and lower horizontal members. The sash closes an opening formed by the pair of vertical ribs and the horizontal member at a position where a vertical stile faces the pair of vertical ribs in the depth direction and opens the opening by moving to the outdoor side of the face member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
