To suppress the falling off of wooden fireproof covering materials in the event of a fire.SOLUTION: A fireproof coating structure for steel frame members includes a steel pipe 12, a corner base material 20 arranged around the steel pipe 12, and a plurality of wooden fireproof covering materials 30 with a metal plate 40 facing the steel pipe 12 attached to an inner surface 30A and whose end portions 30E that butt against each other to form a corner portion 30C are screwed together with the metal plate 40 to the corner base material 20. The metal plate 40 is screwed to a general portion 30M of the wooden fireproof covering materials 30, which is separated from the end portions 30E.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
