To provide an insulation structure and an insulation method allowing an easy construction of a column and an insulation material.SOLUTION: An insulation structure comprises a column 12 arranged at a projected corner part of a building 10 and formed with a lower column and an upper column arranged in a vertical direction, a coupling member 20 arranged at respective indoor side surfaces of the lower column and the upper column and coupling the lower column and the upper column, an outside insulation material 30 for covering two adjacent outdoor side surfaces of the column 12, a fixing member 40 for fixing the outside insulation material 30 to the column 12 and an inside insulation material 50 formed with a separate member from the outside insulation material 30, arranged in contact with the outside insulation material 30, and covering two indoor side surfaces of the column 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
