To smoothly continue an inner peripheral surface while securing the linearity of steel pipes to be added.SOLUTION: A joint member has a male joint and a female joint for connecting steel pipes adjacent to each other in an axial direction, wherein the male joint and the female joint are composed of cylindrical bodies having outer diameters substantially equal to the steel pipes, a diameter-reduced surface whose outer diameter gradually decreases is formed on the outer surface of the cylindrical body and one end side of the cylindrical body is reduced, a steel pipe insertion part is provided on the one diameter-reduced end side, and an inclined surface toward the inner peripheral surface of the steel pipe is formed on the inner peripheral side of the steel pipe insertion part of at least one of the male joint and the female joint.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
