To provide a roof surface ventilation unit and a lower ventilation member used in the roof surface ventilation unit that do not reduce waterproof performance even when a sealant is used by an incorrect construction method and prevents rainwater from overflowing and entering field openings even when a large amount of rainwater enters between the decorative slates.SOLUTION: A lower ventilation member 2 has a lower ventilation overwater member 60 and a lower ventilation underwater member 70. The lower ventilation overwater member 60 includes a lower ventilation overwater member mounting plate 61, a lower ventilation overwater member rising plate 62, and a lower ventilation overwater member top surface plate 63. The lower ventilation underwater member 70 includes lower ventilation underwater member mounting plates 71a, 71b and lower ventilation underwater member raising plates 72a, 72b. An eaves side end 63a of the lower ventilation overwater member top surface plate 63 is located closer to the eave than the lower ventilation underwater member raising plate 72a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
