To provide a construction method of a soundproof wall which exhibits excellent constructibility even in a narrow work space because members with a weight allowing manual construction are used in construction, and the members can be installed on columns without lifting them above the columns and have small dimensions, and to provide the soundproof wall.SOLUTION: In a construction method for installing, on columns 2, a soundproof wall 1 including a rear member 50 installed between the columns 2 and extending in a vertical direction and a front member 51 protruding from the rear member 50 toward a noise source side, a rear member installation process of attaching and installing the rear member 50 to the columns 2 and a front member installation process of attaching and installing the front member 51 to the rear member 50 are performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
