To provide a steering lock device configured so that degrees of freedom of layout of a mounting position of the device in a vehicle and of the vicinity of a steering can be enhanced.SOLUTION: A steering lock device 1, which comprises a lock bar R mounted on a case member 2 and makes the lock bar R lock to a steering of a vehicle to perform steering lock by advancing the rock bar R so that the bar protrudes, and can release the locking to the steering to release the steering lock, by retreating the lock bar R so that the bar is embedded, is mounted on a bracket B through which front forks of the vehicle are connected, where the lock bar R is mounted to be movable in a direction which is nearly parallel to a rotating shaft N of the steering of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
