In the sanitary earthenware, a metamerism index (MI) value is 0.24 or less, measured with a first illumination being a colorimetric standard illuminant D65 and a second illumination being a colorimetric standard illuminant A at a first portion and a second portion having different surface layers respectively, and ΔE is 1.5 or less at the first portion and the second portion expressed by a L*a*b*colorimetric system under the first illumination and/or the second illumination.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】上記課題を解決するためになされたものであり、様々な照明下でも見栄えの悪化を抑制し、衛生陶器の美観を向上させること。【解決手段】陶器素地と、表面に釉薬層を含む表面層とを備えてなる衛生陶器であって、異なる表面層を有する第１の部分と第２の部分における、測色用標準イルミナントＤ６５である第１照明と測色用標準イルミナントＡである第２照明で測定したメタメリズムインデックス（ＭＩ）値が０．２４以下であり、第１照明下および／または第２照明下での、Ｌ＊ａ＊ｂ＊表色系で表した第１の部分と第２の部分におけるΔＥが１．５以下であることを特徴とする衛生陶器。【選択図】なし
