To provide a cooling method for cooling an object to keep the temperature of an artificial turf surface at a low temperature.SOLUTION: A cooling method for cooling an object comprises a first material arrangement step for arranging a first material in, on or near the object, and a second material contact step for bringing the first material into contact with a second material which reacts with the first material and emits a greenhouse gas. Thereby, the object is endothermic when the greenhouse effect gas is emitted from the inside, the surface, or the vicinity of the object. 【課題】 本発明は、人工芝表面の温度を低温に保つため、対象物を冷却する冷却方法等を提供するためのことを目的とする。【解決手段】 対象物を冷却する冷却方法であって、前記対象物の内部、表面又は近辺に、第１材料を配置する第１材料配置ステップと、前記第１材料と反応して温室効果ガスを排出する第２材料を前記第１材料に接触させる第２材料接触ステップとを含む、冷却方法である。これにより、対象物の内部、表面又は近辺から温室効果ガスが排出される際に対象物が吸熱される。結果として、対象物を冷却することが可能となる。【選択図】図１
