PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE METHOD FOR STEEL BRIDGE
To provide a preventive maintenance method for a steel bridge that can significantly shorten a construction period, significantly reduce costs, and accurately determine whether peening has been performed appropriately.SOLUTION: A preventive maintenance method for a steel bridge includes: a blast step of performing blasting; a peening step of perform shot peening; a fluorescent paint applying step of applying a fluorescent paint before the peening step; and a coverage determination step of calculating coverage based on the residual fluorescent paint that produces fluorescence by irradiating a part to which the fluorescent paint is applied after the peening step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
