SANITARY FACILITY MEMBER
To provide a sanitary facility member with superior dirt-removal properties and lasting effectiveness of the dirt-removal properties.SOLUTION: A sanitary facility member includes a base material including metal elements in its surface, a metal oxide layer formed on the base material, and an organic layer provided on the metal oxide layer. The metal elements are one or more selected from a group consisting of Cr, Zr and Ti, and the organic layer is present on a surface of the sanitary facility member. The sanitary facility member has the metal element M, a phosphorous atom P, an oxygen atom O, and a carbon atom C to be detected when its surface is measured by X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy XPS, and also has fragments, represented by a general formula R-X, to be detected when measured by time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy (where R is a hydrocarbon group or a group having an atom other than carbon at one or two positions in the hydrocarbon group, and X is one selected from a phosphonic acid group, a phosphate group, and a phosphinic acid group).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
