To provide a buffer member and a fixture which can improve safety when a movable door is brought into contact with an object.SOLUTION: The present invention is directed to a buffer member having: a base part provided at a first fixture or a second fixture formed at a movable door moved in a horizontal direction relative to the first fixture and also extending in a vertical direction at a first end surface as a side surface of the first fixture or the second fixture substantially perpendicular to a first direction in which an opening of the second fixture faces; and a buffer part which projects from the first end surface in a plan view and also projects toward the first fixture or the second fixture and which is compressed and elastically deformed by being brought into contact with an object located between the first fixture and the second fixture if the object is present when the second fixture is moved in the first direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
