To secure rigidity and resilience as a sign post and wide area as an information display part.SOLUTION: A sign post includes a pole body 2 which has a cylindrical shape and has a horizontal cross section in which the length W1 of a wall 2a that forms the width is longer than the length D1 of a wall 2b that forms the depth, and on which an information display part 5 is provided on the outer peripheral surface 2c of the wall 2a that forms the width, a pedestal 3 fixed to the road surface and a joint 4 that connects the pole body 2 to the pedestal 3; the joint 4 includes a pedestal side cylindrical part 4a that is fixed to the pedestal 3, and a body side cylindrical part 4c that has a groove 4b in the upper surface 4f into which the lower end 2d of the pole body 2 is inserted, and a reinforcing part 4d that extends upward of the pedestal side cylindrical part 4a is provided inside the body side cylindrical part 4c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
