To provide a component for a construction machine which highly has both abrasion resistance and toughness.SOLUTION: A component for a construction machine composed of cast steel containing Fe has such a structure as to contain, by mass%, 0.1 to 0.35% of C, 0.2 to 0.4% of Si, 0.8 to 1.4% of Mn, 0.7 to 1.8% of Cr, 0.2 to 0.5% of Mo, and 0.0 to 0.1% of V, and to mainly contain martensite. The component for a construction machine may contain 0.5% or less of Ni, Nb, Ti and Zr in total.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
