To provide a formwork capable of retaining the shape of a cylindrical body formed of a combination of a plurality of relatively thin plates, a foundation, and a foundation construction method.SOLUTION: A formwork includes a cylindrical body composed of plates whose plate surfaces at an edge are overlapped to be connected, and a restraining material to be fixed to one edge of the cylindrical body that forms an opening facing the ground side. The cylindrical body is disposed with a central axis of the cylindrical body rising from the ground, so that a filling space surrounded by the cylindrical body and the ground is formed. The restraining material is formed into a belt-like shape, and includes a restraining part fixed to the cylindrical body disposed at an end of the restraining material, and a fixing part to be fixed to the ground disposed on the plate surface of the restraining material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
