WAVE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
To appropriately reduce waves while suppressing waste of energy, by controlling the amount of generation of air bubbles according to the size of waves, in a wave suppression system which reduces the waves on the water surface by generating air bubbles from an air bubble generation device provided underwater.SOLUTION: A wave suppression system includes: an air bubble generation device 10 installed underwater at a first predetermined position further on the offshore side than a floating tideland A floating on the water surface, and generating air bubbles underwater; a gas supply device 20 for supplying a gas, which becomes the source of the air bubbles, to the air bubble generation device 10; a wave height detection device 30 for detecting wave height on the water surface at a second predetermined position further on the offshore side than the air bubble generation device 10; and a gas amount control device 40 for controlling the gas amount supplied from the gas supply device 20 according to the wave height detected by the wave height detection device 30, and for increasing the gas amount as the wave height increases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
