To prevent a cable and a wire mesh from getting caught in a closure portion of an intermediate pillar, thereby preventing an absorption of an impact energy from falling rocks from being hindered in a rockfall prevention fence.SOLUTION: An intermediate pillar 9 of a rockfall prevention fence 1 includes a pillar body 22, a first axial direction movement restriction portion 35 including a first outer end surface 41, and a second axial direction movement restriction portion 36 including a second outer end surface 51. The first and second axial direction movement restriction portions 35, 36 protrude from an outer surface of the pillar body 22 to define a reception space 26 of a cable intermediate portion 3a. The first axial direction movement restriction portion 35 includes the first outer end surface 41, and the first outer end surface 41 includes a first outer end surface curve surface portion 41a.
