UNDERWATER WORK MACHINE AND UNDERWATER EXCAVATION METHOD
To propose an underwater work machine and an underwater excavation method which can excavate (rock-break) bedrock at the bottom of water.SOLUTION: An underwater excavation method includes a work machine lowering process in which an underwater work machine 1 is lowered along a shaft 2 whose lower end is supported on the water bottom GL and whose upper part is supported on a work vessel B, and a water bottom excavation process in which the water bottom GL is excavated by the underwater work machine 1. A down-the-hole hammer 4 is mounted on an arm 14 of the underwater work machine 1, and the water bottom excavation process includes operation to form borehole H on the water bottom GL by the down-the-hole hammer 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
