To prevent an increase in the concentration of carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas.SOLUTION: A method for producing cement clinker includes: a feeding step of feeding ammonia gas to the inside of a calcining furnace where exhaust gas from the rotary kiln is introduced; and a calcining step of calcining cement raw materials in the calcining furnace while combusting ammonia gas, wherein the oxygen concentration in the area including the position where ammonia gas is fed in the feeding step of the plurality of areas obtained by dividing the inside of the calcining furnace in the circumferential direction around the central axis of the calcining furnace is higher than the average of the oxygen concentrations in the plurality of areas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
