To provide a sensor-type faucet that can solve the problem in which even if a sensor-type faucet is a non-contact sensor, the non-contact sensor detects a hand by emitting an invisible medium such as ultrasonic or infrared rays, which are invisible to the naked eye, to detect the hands, so the hand cannot be recognized as being in the detection position of the non-contact sensor, and for this reason, the sensor-type faucet, especially those used in washrooms or similar settings, stops discharging water when the hand is unconsciously displaced from a non-contact sensor's detection position during hand washing, even if the washing process has not been completed.SOLUTION: A light-emitting means for irradiating visible light is provided at the detection position of a non-contact sensor, and by maintaining a state where a hand is irradiated with visible light from the light-emitting means, the water discharge is prevented from being unintentionally stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
