To provide a hand rail allowing an end cap to be made thinner while securing enough strength of the end cap against impact.SOLUTION: A rod-like handrail body 2 extending in one direction is provided with: a core material 30 with a hollow part formed inside and opened at its end part; and a covering material 40 surrounding an outer periphery of the core material 30 in a state it abuts on a peripheral surface of the core material 30, wherein the covering material 40 has an extension part 42 extending outward further from an end surface 31 of the core material 30. And, an end cap 10 covering an end part of the handrail body 2 comprises: a cap body 15 having an opposite surface 15a opposite to the end surface 31 of the core material 30 and an end surface 41 of the extension part 42 of the covering material 40; a boss part 14 erected form the opposite surface 15a and fitted in the core material 30; and a plurality of first lib parts 21 arranged around the boss part 14 and erected from both of a side surface of the boss part 14 and the opposite surface 15a of the cap body 15, wherein the first lib part 21 is received in a space surrounded with the extension part 42 and its tip contacts or comes close to the end surface 31 of the core material 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】衝撃に対する十分なエンドキャップの強度を確保しつつ、エンドキャップの薄型化が可能な手すりを実現する。【解決手段】一方向に延びる棒状の手すり本体2が、内側に中空部が形成されて端部において開口する芯材30と、芯材30の外周面に接した状態で芯材30の外周を取り囲む被覆材40と、を備え、被覆材40が、芯材30の端面31よりも外向き側に延在した延在部42を有する。また、手すり本体2の端部を覆うエンドキャップ10が、芯材30の端面31および被覆材40の延在部42の端面41に対向する対向面15aを有するキャップ本体15と、対向面15aから立設し芯材30に嵌合するボス部14と、ボス部14の周囲に配置され、ボス部14の側面とキャップ本体15の対向面15aとの双方から立設した複数の第1リブ部21を有し、第1リブ部21は、延在部42に取り囲まれた空間内に収容され、その先端が芯材30の端面31に接触又は近接する。【選択図】図3
