To provide a porous ceramic layer and a porous ceramic laminate that can reduce the resistance of a functional layer when the functional layer is laminated thereon.SOLUTION: A porous ceramic layer according to the present invention is composed of ceramic trabeculae and pores, in which the thickness direction is the z-axis, and the pore angle θL, which is the angle between the approximate major axis of a spheroid obtained by analyzing the pores using a three-dimensional mean intercept length method and the z-axis, is 68° to 112°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
