To provide a shear force absorption member capable of efficiently absorbing shear force, and an earthquake-resistant structure.SOLUTION: A shear force absorption member 1 comprises a plate-like absorption part 2 that is formed into a U-shape in a front view, and a separation prevention part 3 that is arranged inside the U-shape of the absorption unit 2. The separation prevention part 3 engages one flat part 20 extending from one end of a curved part 29 in the U-shape of the absorption part 2 with the other flat part 20 extending from the other end of the curved part 29 so that a distance between the one flat part 20 and the other flat part 20 does not increase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
