CERAMIC BALL MATERIAL AND CERAMIC BALL PRODUCTION METHOD USING THE SAME AS WELL AS CERAMIC BALL
To provide ceramic ball production method capable of suppressing damage on ceramic material upon a polishing process to reduce polishing time.SOLUTION: Ceramic ball material in accordance with an embodiment is provided with a spherical surface part and a belt-like part formed along a circumference of a surface of the spherical surface part. A ratio of Rtb/Rts of a max sectional height Rtb on a roughness curve of an outer peripheral surface of the belt-like part and a max sectional height Rts on a roughness curve of an outer peripheral surface of the spherical surface part is 1.0 or more. Preferably, any diameter of the spherical surface part is 0.5 mm or more. And, the ceramic ball material, preferably, includes any one of alumina, silicon nitride, silicon carbide, boron nitride, and zirconia.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】研磨加工時におけるセラミックス材料の損傷を抑制し研磨時間を短縮すること。【解決手段】実施形態に係るセラミックスボール用素材は、球面部と、球面部の表面の円周に亘って形成された帯状部とを備える。帯状部の外周面に係る粗さ曲線の最大断面高さRtbと、球面部の外周面に係る粗さ最大断面高さRtsとの比であるRtb/Rtsが1.0以上である。球面部の任意の直径が0.5mm以上であることが好適である。また、セラミックスボール用素材は、酸化アルミニウム、窒化ケイ素、炭化ケイ素、窒化ほう素、酸化ジルコニウムのいずれか1種を含むことが好適である。【選択図】 図1
