CERAMIC SLIDING MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
To provide a ceramic sliding member and the like, capable of ensuring high mechanical strength and capable of reducing a friction coefficient at high temperatures.SOLUTION: A ceramic sliding member comprises: a ceramic matrix containing Al; and an active non-oxide dispersed in the matrix. The active non-oxide has the ability to form an oxide by an oxidation reaction with oxygen by contacting with oxygen. Since the oxide functions as a lubricant, it is desirable that a PB ratio is 1.0 or more, but it is even more desirable that the PB ratio exceeds 2.0. In particular, it is preferable that the PB ratio is 2.5 or more, such as NbC, NbN, TaC, and TaN, in which the metal ions are Nb or Ta; and it is especially preferable that the PB ratio is 3.0 or more, such as VC and VN, in which the metal ions are V.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
