THE CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR CANT STRIP OF TRADITIONAL WOODEN BUILDING
The present invention relates to a method to construct a cant strip (rafter can strip, short rafter can strip), which is a wood longitudinally hung on an end of a rafter or a short rafter when installing a roof, with respect to a traditional building. A cant strip using a long straight-line material is provided, and both ends of the cant strip are fixated to an end of a hip rafter; and then the cant strip pulled in a downward direction, inclined towards the building, by installing guy wires on the cant strip at predetermined distances. In addition, the cant strip is bent in the direction pulled by the guy wires by adjusting the tension of the guy wires, and is closely attached to an upper end of the end portion of the rafter to have the curves of a hip rafter with an upwardly bent end and a hip rafter with an outwardly pushed end.
