A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The present invention relates to a manhole cover using a twisting motion for locking based on a leverage effect and, more specifically, relates to a manhole cover comprising: a cover frame having a seating groove and an engaging protrusion along an inner circumference; a manhole cover engaged with the seating groove of the cover frame, wherein a fastening groove is provided on a top; and a fixating unit fastened to the fastening groove to be rotated to pressurize a bottom of the engaging groove. An operation portion is provided on one side of the fastening groove, a through-hole is provided on the bottom of the fastening groove, a curved guide protrusion is provided on an outer circumference of the fixating unit, and a pressurization protrusion is provided on one upper side of the guide protrusion. The pressurization protrusion pressurizes the bottom of the engaging protrusion with a rotation of the fixating unit to make the manhole cover be fixated to the cover frame; thereby simply fixating the manhole cover to the cover frame without an escape or movement, and prevents accidents without noise caused by friction.
