Provided is a horizontal member for scaffolding, comprising a horizontal pipe and a coupling device provided at both ends of the horizontal pipe. The coupling device comprises a coupling body having one end connected to the horizontal pipe and the other end supported on a flange of a vertical member, and a clamp coupled to the coupling body to be rotatable and having a release preventing portion inserted into a coupling hole formed on the flange to prevent the coupling device from being released.
