Provided is a sliding window with excellent airtightness performance, which can increase an airtightness effect by allowing a gasket mounted on a groove formed at the edge of a pair of windows to come in close contact with a guide formed on a window frame when the pair of windows are closed. The pair of windows can come in close contact with the window frame by a repulsive force and a locking force of a locking means, and thus the sliding window with excellent airtightness performance has a simplified structure, is easy to manufacture, and increases airtightness maintenance effects. Moreover, the gasket, a magnet, and the like can be mounted on a mounting groove on which mohair is mounted, and an elastically supported rolling means can be mounted on a groove on which a roller is mounted in a conventional window. Therefore, airtightness maintenance can be improved only by replacement of an airtightness member and the rolling means without a structural change of the conventional window.
