POLYMER CONCRETE COMPOSITION AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR ROAD PAVEMENT THEREOF
A polymer concrete composition of the present invention comprises: 37-48% by weight of fine aggregate; 30-40% by weight of coarse aggregate; 10-20% by weight of rapid-hardening cement; 0.6-2% by weight of activated silica; 3.2-4.2% by weight of polymer; and 3 to 4.5% by weight of water. The activated silica, with respect to the weight of the activated silica, comprises: 0.7-0.8 parts by weight of silicon dioxide (SiO_2); 0.08-0.15 parts by weight of aluminum oxide (Al_2O_3); 0.03-0.05 parts by weight of iron oxide (Fe_2O_3); 0.01-0.05 parts by weight of calcium oxide (CaO); 0.01-0.05 parts by weight of magnesium oxide (MgO); 0.005-0.015 parts by weight of sodium oxide (Na_2O) and K_2O; and 0.0002-00005 parts by weight of sodium chloride (NaCl). The polymer is a mixture of ethyl prop-2-enoate and 2-ethylhexyl prop-2-enoate. Accordingly, the polymer concrete composition has excellent applicability as a concrete composition for road repair.
