The present invention relates to an asphalt mixture including an aramid fiber reinforcement material for asphalt and an asphalt paving method using the same. An objective of the present invention is to reinforce the properties of asphalt by using the properties of aramid fiber and induce a uniform distribution of aramid fiber by controlling the viscosity of the asphalt to reinforce all parts of the asphalt evenly. The asphalt mixture including an aramid fiber reinforcement material for asphalt according to the present invention is composed of asphalt, aggregate, and an aramid fiber reinforcement material for asphalt. The aramid fiber reinforcement material for asphalt is made by forming a coating layer of a medium temperature additive on aramid fibers. The medium temperature additive is a viscosity and friction reducing agent that is mixed and coated with the aramid fibers in a ratio of 1 : 0.9 to 1.1 based on weight and melts when mixed with asphalt to reduce the viscosity of the asphalt to induce the uniform mixing of the aramid fibers. The asphalt mixture is manufactured by wet mixing in which the asphalt and the aggregate are first mixed, and then 0.8 to 3 parts by weight of the aramid fiber reinforcement material for asphalt is mixed with respect to 100 parts by weight of the asphalt at a temperature at which the coating layer of the aramid fiber reinforcement material for asphalt is melted.
본 발명은 아스팔트용 아라미드 섬유 보강재를 포함하는 아스팔트 혼합물 및 이를 이용한 아스팔트 포장 공법에 관한 것으로, 아라미드 섬유의 특성을 이용하여 아스팔트의 특성을 보강하고 아스팔트의 점도 조절을 통해 아라미드 섬유의 균일한 분포를 유도하여 아스팔트의 모든 부분을 균일하게 보강하는 것을 목적으로 한다.본 발명에 의한 아스팔트용 아라미드 섬유 보강재를 포함하는 아스팔트 혼합물은, 아스팔트, 골재 및 아스팔트용 아라미드 섬유 보강재를 조성으로 하며, 상기 아스팔트용 아라미드 섬유 보강재는 아라미드 섬유에 중온첨가제의 코팅층이 형성되어 이루어지되, 상기 중온첨가제는 상기 아라미드 섬유와 중량 기준으로 하여 1 : 0.9~1.1의 비율로 혼합되어 코팅되며 아스팔트와 혼합 시 용융되어 상기 아스팔트의 점도를 감소시킴으로써 상기 아라미드 섬유의 균일한 혼합을 유도하는 점도 및 마찰력 감소제이고, 상기 아스팔트와 골재를 먼저 혼합한 후 상기 아스팔트용 아라미드 섬유 보강재의 코팅층을 용융하는 온도에서 상기 아스팔트 100중량부에 대하여 상기 아스팔트용 아라미드 섬유 보강재 0.8~3중량부를 혼합하는 습식 혼합으로 제조된다.
