The present invention relates to a wave dissipating block which includes a body part located at the center and four leg parts extending from the body part in a tetrapod shape. The body part includes four inner surface portions formed at positions corresponding to each face of a regular tetrahedron, and each of the four inner surface portions has three arc-shaped portions divided at equal angles in a circumferential direction and three linear portions which connect the arc-shaped portions in a straight line. The linear portions which are arranged adjacent between the inner surface portions are formed to have flat surface-processed portions. The leg portion has a retaining portion which extends away from the main body to the four adjacent inner surface portions and has an outer diameter expanding gradually, and a pointed portion which extends away from the retaining portion towards the apex to be away from the body part and has an outer diameter narrowing gradually. At least one groove is formed on the inner surface portion and the outer side surface of the pointed portion to be recessed inwardly to provide a habitat for seaweed and shellfish. The wave dissipating block can function as an artificial seaweed for underwater creatures by providing a habitat and a hiding place for seaweed and shellfish on the protruding part which can protect seaweed and shellfish from attacks by pirate creatures such as sea urchins due to strong water currents.
본 발명은 중앙에 위치하는 몸통부와, 몸통부로부터 4개의 다리부가 테트라포트 형태로 연장된 소파블록에 관한 것으로서, 몸통부는 원주방향을 따라 등각도로 분할된 3개의 호형부분과, 호형부분 상호간을 직선상으로 결합하는 3개의 선형부분을 갖는 4개의 내표면부분이 정사면체의 각 면에 대응되는 위치에 형성되어 있고, 인접되게 배치된 상기 내표면부분들 사이의 선형부분은 판형상으로 된 면처리부분을 갖게 형성되어 있고, 다리부는 인접된 4개의 내표면부분으로 몸통부로부터 멀어지는 방향으로 연장되되 외경이 점진적으로 확장되는 걸림부분과, 걸림부분으로부터 첨두를 향하여 상기 몸통부로부터 멀어지는 방향으로 연장되되 외경이 점진적으로 좁아지는 뽀족부분을 갖게 형성되어 있고, 내표면부분과 뽀족부분의 외측면에는 내측으로 인입되어 해조류 및 폐조류의 서식공간을 제공하는 홈이 적어도 하나 이상 형성되어 있다. 이러한 소파 블록에 의하면, 유속이 강해 성개와 같은 해적생물의 공격으로부터 보호가 가능한 돌출부위에 해조류 및 폐조류의 치폐의 서식 및 은신처를 제공할 수 있어 수중 동생물의 인공어초로서 기능할 수 있는 장점을 제공한다.
