The present invention relates to a retractable awning system, and more specifically, to a retractable awning system, which allows the folding and unwinding of an awning screen to be naturally performed when the awning screen is opened and closed. Opening and closing noise may be reduced and the opening and closing motions may be solidly performed with respect to the support surface of a moving roller by simultaneously using the lower surface and the side surface of a guide rail. To this end, the present invention comprises: a plurality of guide rails (100) which are provided at a predetermined interval to guide the moving route of the awning screen after being arranged at the upper portion of the ground surface; a horizontal frame (200) which is arranged at the front end and the rear end of the guide rail (100) in a direction crossing the guide rail (100); and a moving assembly unit (300) of which one part is inserted into the guide rail (100) to be provided to be moved in a back-and-forth direction between the horizontal frames (200).
