The present invention relates to a raw material composition for oxygen carrier particles, which secures sufficient strength and oxygen transfer performance under low firing temperature conditions, an oxygen carrier particle manufactured thereby, and a manufacturing method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the raw material composition for manufacturing oxygen carrier particles comprises: 58 to 80 wt% of nickel hydroxide (Ni(OH)_2); 12 to 35 wt% of boehmite; 5 to 15 wt% of magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)_2); 1 to 4 wt% of aluminum dihydrogen phosphate (Al(H_2PO_4)_3); and 0.5 to 2 wt% of magnesium hydrogen phosphate (MgHPO_4).
