포틀랜드 시멘트의 대체물로서 이용되는 플라이 애시를 활성화하기 위한 플라이 애시의 처리 방법으로서, 상기 공정은, 그라인딩에 의해 하나의 플라이 애시 성분의 표면적을 증가시키고, 제2 플라이 애시 성분의 밀링을 방지하면서 제2 성분의 표면을 거칠게 하여 표면적을 증가시키는 다양한 크기 및 형태 매체를 갖는 특정 로터리 밀을 사용하는 단계를 포함한다.
A process for treating fly ash to activate the fly ash so that it may be used as a substitute for Portland cement, with the process including the use of a specialized rotary mill having variably sized and shaped media to increase the surface area of one fly ash component by grinding, avoiding milling a second fly ash component, while roughing up the surface of the second component to increase its surface area.
