POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND COMPACT HAVING MULTIPLEX SINTERED POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND AND THE MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a polycrystalline diamond compact having a multiple polycrystalline diamond sintered body and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of a polycrystalline diamond compact having a multiple polycrystalline diamond sintered body in accordance with the present invention comprises: a first step of preparing a first diamond powder; a second step of manufacturing a first polycrystalline diamond sintered body having a smaller diameter than that of a cemented tungsten carbide substrate by sintering the first diamond powder under a pressure of 5 to 6 GPa and a temperature of 1300 to 1500°C; a third step of positioning the first polycrystalline diamond sintered body on a central portion of the cemented tungsten carbide substrate and assembling a second diamond powder around the first polycrystalline diamond sintered body; and a fourth step of forming a second polycrystalline diamond sintered body from the second diamond powder by sintering the second diamond powder under a pressure of 5 to 6 GPa and a temperature of 1300 to 1500°C. According to the present invention, a central portion and an edge portion of the polycrystalline diamond sintered body can be manufactured to have the same sintering characteristics by sintering the inside and the outside of the polycrystalline diamond sintered body respectively.
