A hood latch device is disclosed. According to the present invention, the hood latch device comprises: a base having a movement groove unit; a latch gear restraining a striker moved through the moving groove unit; a foul installed to be rotated in the base and restraining rotation of the latch gear with a motion engaged with the latch gear and unlocking the latch gear while being linked with the motion of a first operation cable and being rotated; a releasing unit installed to be rotated in a rotary support shaft penetrating the foul and linked with the motion of a second operation cable to be rotated and rotating the foul in a direction away from the latch gear; and a cover unit installed to face the base having the latch gear and the foul therebetween and restraining that the releasing unit rotates at a predetermined angle or more.
