본 발명은 단열 성능이 우수하고 제조 비용이 저렴한 단열재 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 단열재는 건축물에 사용되는 단열재에 있어서, 다공성 무기물과 유기물의 혼합물로 구성되고, 상기 혼합물은 발포되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
