Mold Apparatus for the Fabrication of High Density Tube-shaped Silicon Carbide Fiber Reinforced Silicon Carbide Composites
The present invention relates to a mold device for high density tube-type silicon carbide fiber-reinforced silicon carbide composites (SiC_f/SiC) which can not be produced via extrusion of molding general powder. More specifically, provided is a mold device for producing high density tube-type silicon carbide fiber-reinforced silicon carbide composites (SiC_f/SiC) used as a structural material for next-generation nuclear reactor, aerospace engine, and high temperature heat exchangers, by using the mold device and a hot isostatic pressing method in conjunction with electrophoresis and sonication. Also, provided is a method thereof.
발명은 일반적인 분말의 성형이나 압출법으로 제작할 수 없는 튜브형 고밀도 탄화규소 섬유강화 탄화규소 복합체(SiC/SiC)용 몰드 장치에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는, 전기영동법과 초음파 처리를 병행하고, 열간가압소결법 및 본 발명에 따른 몰드 장치를 이용하여 고온 열교환기, 우주항공용 엔진 및 차세대 원자로용 구조 재료로 사용 가능한 고밀도 튜브형 탄화규소 섬유강화 탄화규소 복합체(SiC/SiC)를 제조하는 몰드 장치 및 방법을 제공한다.
