the concrete composition for radioactive waste
The present invention relates to a heavyweight concrete composition for a radiation shielding structure. The concrete composition is configured to include 18 to 22 parts by weight of copper slag, 25 to 29 parts by weight of 19 mm aggregate, 11 to 15 parts by weight of 9.5 mm aggregate, 8 to 12 parts by weight of sand, and 7 to 9 parts by weight of water with respect to 20 to 24 parts by weight of cement or 20 to 24 parts by weight of copper slag, 28 to 32 parts by weight of 9.5 mm aggregate, 8 to 12 parts by weight of sand, and 6 to 10 parts by weight of water with respect to 28 to 32 parts by weight of cement. The concrete composition is used in the radiation shielding structure such as radioactive waste disposal containers, radioactive waste disposal warehouses, and radioactive material storage containers. A concrete structure based on the concrete composition satisfies a high level of unit weight of at least 2.5 tons per cubic meter by means of the copper slag and aggregate it includes. It provides a high level of stability, a high level of durability, and a high level of strength while safely shielding, disposing of, and storing radioactive wastes or radioactive materials.
